Aug. 26
Report of a woman leaving Safeway without paying for a grocery cart full of items. The suspect reportedly left the scene in a red passenger car.
Report of a non-licensed driver leaving the 1300 block of West Columbia Avenue with an unrestrained child in their car. Police could not locate the vehicle.
A woman reported an unknown suspect entered her unlocked residence in the 1700 block of West Lee Street and stole two bottles of prescription medication.
A man was reportedly spotted in a person’s van in the 500 block of East Wheeler Road. The suspect took off running after a witness attempted to confront him and stashed some stolen tools underneath a nearby dumpster. The suspect was located in a field by a officer and was booked into the Grant County Jail for vehicle prowling and second-degree theft.
Report of a wallet stolen out of a vehicle in the 600 block of South Grand Drive.
Police received a report of shots fired in the 100 block of North Westshore Drive. Police checked the area, but did not locate any bullet casings.
An employee at a business in the 400 block of West Broadway Avenue reported a man called her company four times and called one of her employees vulgar names. The reporting party wanted the incident documented in the event that her business is vandalized in the future.
A man was arrested for fourth-degree assault after allegedly assaulting a woman in the 1100 block of West Luta Street and leaving the scene.
Report of two flat screen TVs stolen from a residence in the 800 block of East Hill Avenue.
Aug. 27
Police responded to the 1200 block of South Ashley Way for a report of a suspicious person. The reporting party told officers she could see lights in her back windows and heard male voices. Officers checked the area, but could not locate any suspicious persons.
Two vehicles in the 8500 block of Charles Road Northeast reportedly had their front passenger windows broken out. A purse was taken out of each vehicle.
A homeless woman was trespassed from a fast food restaurant in the 900 block of North Stratford Road after asking patrons of the restaurant for money.
A woman reported her nephew stole her phone and tablet. The suspect returned the phone, but denied any knowledge of the stolen tablet.
Report of a commercial burglary alarm at a church in the 1100 block of North Grape Drive. A door was found ajar, but there was no signs of forced entry or theft at the church.
A woman told police a man has been harassing her on Facebook and social media. The woman was advised to obtain a court order against the man.
A woman reported a man was mowing a lawn in the 1000 block of West Ivy Avenue and the mower shot a rock at her vehicle. The woman was given a case number and advised to contact her insurance provider.
Report of a drunk driver in the 5200 block of Patton Boulevard. Police later learned the intoxicated individual was a passenger in the vehicle, not the driver.
Report of a woman sticking a needle in her arm by a dumpster in the 1000 block of West Broadway Avenue.
Aug. 28
A man reported an unknown suspect entered his vehicle in the 700 block of North Rockport Street and stole two bags. The bags were later found in a field near the scene of the vehicle prowl.
A man reported his debit card was overcharged by $100 at a restaurant in the 500 block of West Valley Road. The man was advised to contact the restaurant’s manager and call authorities if evidence of theft was found.
Report of $300 stolen from a residence in the 700 block of South Fairbanks Drive.
Report of five subjects smoking marijuana at Peninsula Elementary. Police contacted the subjects, who were found to be in possession of marijuana and alcohol. The subjects were all juveniles and released to their guardians.
A woman reported her purse was stolen while she was at Walmart. The purse was later found in restroom at the business and returned to the woman.
Report of a Sonar/GPS combination unit stolen from a residence on South Lakeway Drive.
A man advised a 11-year-old possibly threatened other children at a residence. Police determined the incident was a misunderstanding and no threats were made.
Report of a suspicious subject taking photos of a duplex that is under construction in the 1600 block of West Fern Street.
Police responded to the area of East Tanglewood Drive and South Allen Avenue for a report of two people skateboarding in the street. The subjects were gone upon police arrival.

Alex Martinez, 21, of Warden, was arrested and booked on outstanding Grant County District Court warrants for obstructing a law enforcement officer, third-degree theft, harassment, second-degree criminal trespassing and a Department of Corrections secretary’s warrant for probation violation.
Richard Esquivel, 56, of Grand Coulee, was booked on an outstanding GCDC warrant for third-degree driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Jeremy Burns, 34, of Ephrata, was booked for second-degree theft and second-degree vehicle prowling.
Juan Hernandez, 28, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on a DOC arrest order for probation violation.
Toni Perry, 57, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on an outstanding GCDC warrant for criminal solicitation.
Francisco Mejia, 23, of Mattawa, was arrested and booked for first-degree robbery.
Alfredo Sabedra, 29, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on a Grant County Superior Court material witness warrant and an outstanding GCDC warrant for DUI.
Leonardo Hernandez, 47, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked for resisting arrest and an outstanding GCDC warrant for third-degree theft.
Virgil Stidom, 48, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked for fourth-degree assault.
Sandy Sanislo, 23, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on an outstanding GCDC warrant for third-degree driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Justin Smith, 40, of Osburn, Idaho, was arrested and booked for DUI.
Jamail Bell, 19, of Spokane, was arrested and booked for taking a motor vehicle without permission.
Maryse Foreman, 22, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked fourth-degree assault, third-degree malicious mischief and resisting arrest.
Daniel Ewing, 34, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on outstanding GCDC warrants for third-degree driving with a suspended or revoked license.
David Hagar, 43, of Moses Lake, was booked for violating a no-contact order.
Forrest Simms, 51, a transient, was booked for second-degree criminal trespassing.
Jonathan Wilt, 26, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked for theft with intent to resell and organized retail theft.

Antonio Quintero, 29, of Quincy, was arrested and booked for fourth-degree assault.
Shelly Carlson, 54, of Moses Lake, was booked for fourth-degree assault and third-degree malicious mischief.
Luis Gutierrez, 28, of Warden, was arrested for fourth-degree assault, third-degree malicious mischief and interfering with reporting of domestic violence.
