| August 18, 2016 1:50 PM

WILLISTON, N.D. — Columbia Basin was eliminated from the 13- 15-year-old Babe Ruth World Series after a 5-2 loss to Lynn, Mass.

The River Dogs (1-3) fell behind 3-1 after the third inning and couldn’t recover, while Lynn took advantage of five errors.

Down 5-1 in the fifth inning, Columbia Basin’s Emmitt Tatum slugged a RBI single to cut Lynn’s lead to three runs. However, that’s as close as the River Dogs got as Lynn starter Aidan Leydon carried the New England Regional Champions into bracket play, throwing a complete game.

Columbia Basin starter Peter Aspholm threw five innings with two strikeouts.
