MOSES LAKE - The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for communities in central and north central Washington.
The weather service states that low humidity combined with gusty winds will heighten the potential for rapid spread of wildfires throughout the day. Red flag warnings mean that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring, or will happen shortly. The red flag warning is in effect from 10 a.m. this morning to 11 p.m. tonight. Winds are predicted to be between 10 and 20 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph.
