15-year-old boy shot Saturday night in Moses Lake; receives non-life threatening injuries

MOSES LAKE — A 15-year-old boy was shot late Saturday night in the Knolls Vista neighborhood in Moses Lake.
About 11:30 p.m. the Moses Lake Police Department received a report of a drive-by-shooting in the 300 block of North Mattson Drive. Upon arrival at the scene officers located the 15-year-old victim, who was reportedly been shot in the leg. The boy was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, according to Moses Lake police.
“The victim and witnesses are cooperating with the investigation. According to witnesses, the boy was standing in front of a residence when he was shot from a vehicle,” according to a prepared statement from the police department. “There was evidence of at least one handgun being fired on scene, and several vehicles and one residence were hit by rounds. No suspects are being named at this time, and no one has been arrested in connection with the incident.”
