Moses Lake Police Department
Aug. 3
- Report of a suspicious person photographing the outside of a building in the 100 block of North Stratford Road.
- Report of several items stolen out of a storage unit in the 11900 block of Kittleson Road Northeast sometime between the end of December 2015 and Aug. 3, 2016.
- A business in the 1200 block of South Pioneer Way requested a man be trespassed from their property. The man reportedly came into the business in the past to use the restroom, but recently started acting rude toward staff.
- Report of a possible drug deal in the 600 block of North Stratford Road. Police contacted and searched the alleged subjects, but no drugs were found.
- Report of some kids on the roof of Chief Moses Middle School. Upon contact police learned the kids were retrieving a soccer ball they had kicked on the roof. The kids got down and were advised to not go on the roof again.
- A man told police that three days ago he gave a man money to pay for marijuana and the man did not return with the money or marijuana. The reporting party confronted the man and his girlfriend and they reportedly got into a fight. The male suspect allegedly pulled a handgun out of his waistband, but the victim said he kicked the gun away. The victim was allegedly assaulted and by the man and his girlfriend, who reportedly fled the scene after being picked up by a car. Police could not find the suspects.
- A 3-year-old boy was spotted wandering alone at Carpenter Park wearing only a diaper. The boy’s grandparents were contacted and did not know the boy was missing. The boy’s grandmother lied about her name several times before providing her correct information. The case will be referred to Child Protective Services.
- Report of a man who appeared to be under the influence of drugs throwing rocks at a business in the 700 block of Broadway Avenue. At least one windshield was damaged at the property.
- Report of an intoxicated driver in the 2000 block of West Broadway Avenue. The vehicle was later located and the driver was arrested for DUI.
- A man was removed from a hotel’s property in the 2800 block of Broadway Avenue after allegedly being disruptive.
Grant County Sheriff’s Office
Aug. 3
- A woman reported that her mail had been stolen.
- A medical clinic reported a male subject, who was possibly a registered sex offender, harassing people in the parking lot and asking them for money.
- A man reported fraudulent charges on his debit card.
- A cell phone was reported stolen from its owner’s bathroom.
- A woman reported a male subject driving fast on a private road. When she asked him to slow down, he reportedly became rude, cursed at her and peeled out of the driveway.
- A man reported that he returned home he found his back door kicked in.
- A woman reported her mail had been stolen overnight, some of which she found opened down the street.
- A man reported that his residence had been broken into.
- A young juvenile was reported riding a bicycle on the side of a busy road.
- Two male subjects, one of whom had a gun, were reported fighting. One of the subjects drove away in a pickup.
- An iPhone was reported stolen from the Gorge campground.
- A man reported that a chihuahua came into his backyard and bit him.
- A woman reported that a male subject threatened her father with a knife.
- A shed was reportedly broken into.
- A woman reported her debit card had been stolen.
Aug. 4
- A window was reported broken at Larson Heights Elementary.
- A male was reportedly looking into car windows with a tool in his hands.
- A pig was reported running at large.
Grant County Jail
Aug. 3
- Darryl Scheib, 57, of Soap Lake, was booked for possession of methamphetamine and use of drug paraphernalia.
- Terrance Crinklaw, 40, of Grand Coulee, turned himself in on an outstanding Grant County District Court warrant for DUI.
- Luis Trujillo, 19, of Ephrata, was arrested and booked for second-degree criminal mistreatment.
- Yesenia Dominguez, 29, of Othello, was arrested and booked on an outstanding Grant County Superior Court warrant for four counts of forgery.
- Vaughn Walters, 28, of Moses Lake, was booked on a Department of Corrections secretary’s warrant for third-degree assault.
Aug. 4
- Robert Millard, 29, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked for fourth-degree assault and third-degree malicious mischief.
- Alejandra Avalos, 23, of Moses Lake, was booked for fourth-degree assault.
