Aug. 1

  • A 35-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for hit and run after he was found sleeping against a power box on South Sunset and West Marina drives.
  • Report of credit card fraud. Victim said she found a charge of $158.40 for a business in Wichita, Kan., on one of the family’s accounts. The case is still under investigation.
  • A 34-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding Texas felony warrant after he was found camping in McCosh Park.
  • Report of two-vehicle, non-injury accident at the intersection of East Wheeler Road and North Fig Street. Driver of vehicle 1 was traveling east on Wheeler and hit vehicle 2, exiting the parking lot at a business on Wheeler.
  • A 21-year-old woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
  • Report of two-vehicle, non-injury accident in the 1300 block of South Lakeway Drive. Driver of vehicle 1 was northbound on Lakeway Drive, said he was sneezing and hit unoccupied vehicle 2. Driver of vehicle 1 was cited for not having valid insurance.
  • Report of parked car hit by an unknown vehicle in the 3500 block of West Glenmoor Drive.
  • Report of burglary in the 1000 block of South Ashley Way. Victim said unknown suspect broke into the house sometime between 5 p.m. Sunday and 5:30 p.m. Monday. Suspects stole consumer electronics estimated value $300, clothing and wall shelves.
  • Attempted robbery at a business at 323 South Division St. Suspect stole a bag from a vehicle in the parking lot, and witnesses chased him and pinned him down until law enforcement officers arrived. A 26-year-old man was arrested for second-degree theft and vehicle prowl.
  • Report of graffiti on a retaining wall at the intersection of North Daniel Street and West Gary Street.
  • A 67-year-old woman and 37-year-old woman both were arrested for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) after a domestic dispute in the 800 block of South Winona Street.
  • Report of vandalism in the 100 block of West Sixth Avenue. Victim said unknown suspect broke a window at his residence and damaged his vehicle. Damage to the residence was estimated at $350, damage to the vehicle was estimated at $250.

 

Aug. 2

  • Report of subjects racing at West Broadway and South Schneirla avenues. An 18-year-old man was cited for reckless driving, and an 18-year-old man was cited for reckless driving and driving without insurance.
  • Report of disturbance in the 1000 block of West Marina Drive. A woman allegedly argued with residents, damaged a car and left the scene. A 58-year-old woman was arrested for DUI, third-degree malicious mischief and third-degree driving with a suspended license. The victim whose car was damaged, a 52-year-old man, was found to have outstanding warrants for DUI and third-degree driving with a suspended license. Both were booked into the Grant County Jail.
  • An 18-year-old man was arrested on two outstanding warrants and a 17-year-old boy was arrested for possession of a dangerous weapon following a traffic stop.

Aug. 1

  • A vehicle was reportedly broken into overnight and items stolen.
  • A woman reported that her son had taken her vehicle without permission and when she went to retrieve it he threatened her.
  • A female reported that a driver had tried to run her off the road twice.
  • Mailboxes were reported damaged in a hit-and-run.
  • Horses were reported running at large. The reporting party tied them to her neighbor’s fence.
  • An air conditioning unit and phone were reported stolen.
  • A towing company reported that a vehicle they had impounded was showing up as stolen.
  • A vehicle was reportedly prowled at the Gorge.
  • A vehicle was reported stolen.
  • A woman reported being stalked and assaulted the night before.
  • A campground reported that subjects who were supposed to leave were refusing to do so.
  • A male subject was reported lying on the side of the roadway.
  • A woman reported a theft from her vehicle.
  • A cell phone was reported stolen.
  • A man reported a four-wheeler stolen.

 

Aug. 2

  • Twenty sprinkler heads were reported damaged at Larson Heights Elementary.

Grant County Jail

July 31

  • Trevor Baldwin, 22, Kent, was booked into the Grant County Jail for disorderly conduct and on an outstanding Kent municipal warrant for reckless driving.
  • Aleksander Babak, 30, Moses Lake, was booked for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), possession of heroin, a 30-day Grant County District Court commitment and 10-day Grant County Superior Court commitment.

 

Aug. 1

  • Dale Terletter, 43, Soap Lake, was booked for two outstanding Grant County District Court warrants for third-degree driving with a suspended license.
  • Blake Hellman, 21, Wilson Creek, was booked on an outstanding California warrant and a outstanding GCDC warrant for third-degree driving with a suspended license.
  • Christopher Jackson, 28, Soap Lake, was booked on an outstanding GCDC warrant for second-degree criminal trespassing.
  • Reanna Collins, 23, Moses Lake, was booked for making false statements to law enforcement and an outstanding Chelan County warrant for third-degree driving with a suspended license.
  • Jason Paulk, 35, Moses Lake, was booked for an outstanding GCDC warrant for hit-and-run.
  • Jodi Shines, 47, Moses Lake, was booked for an outstanding GCDC warrant for criminal trespassing.
  • Robert Byrns, 34, transient, was booked on an outstanding Texas warrant for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
  • Jazmine Rodriguez, 21, Moses Lake, was booked on an outstanding GCDC warrants for MIP, disorderly conduct and third-degree theft.
  • Wilmer Guerrero, 24, Ephrata, was booked on an outstanding Washington Department of Corrections warrant for probation violation.
  • Linda Jean, 30, Moses Lake, was booked for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and an outstanding GCDC warrant for violation of a protection order.
  • Celton Kimmel, 23, Moses Lake, was booked on an outstanding WDOC warrant for probation violation.
