Thelma M. Small Lawson

Thelma M. Small Lawson, 92 a Moses Lake, Wash. resident for the past 10 years passed away on July 28, 2016. She had been a resident of Brookdale Senior Living.

Thelma was born Nov. 14, 1923 in Timber Lake, S.D. She and her family came to Washington state in 1933. Thelma is the daughter of Vern and Mernie Small and spent many years in Sedro Woolley, Wash.

Her schooling was in Mount Vernon and Burlington, Wash. During World War II she was employed in Bremerton, Wash. in the Navy yard. After the war Thelma was employed by Western Farmers in Seattle and Kent, Wash. for 10 years.

Thelma was also a beauty consultant for Mary Kay for 25 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed family and traveling.

In 1970 Thelma married J. Roy Lawson. He passed away in 2008.

Thelma left behind one daughter Trudy J. Edgerton (Ed) of Prineville, Ore. and a son Greg Huff (Marla) of Moses Lake, Wash. Thelma had several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
