Preaching righteousness not easy

| April 28, 2016 1:45 PM

Thank you once again pastors for your enlightenment by the gospel. I enjoy reading what you write each week and was especially drawn to the statement of bondage to sin. Coming at a time in history where we are calling evil good and good evil, where alternative lifestyles are more accepted than a righteous lifestyle this statement seems very timely. It must be difficult to preach against sin. I just have one word of caution when we transition from the bondage of sin to grace through faith. It can be very difficult to go from sin to grace through faith without being deceived by righteousness through the works of the law. It is easy to believe we can please God by following the law rather than by faith. When we realize that faith reveals God’s will then we can pursue righteousness through the knowledge of his will rather than the knowledge of good and evil seeking to be like God through our works.

I pray that God will bless all the pastors and teachers in our community and faith will be revived.
