April 25

Report of several large street signs found in a recently purchased home.

Report of two-vehicle, non-injury accident at SR 17 and North Clover Drive. Driver of vehicle 2 was on SR 17, slowing down at the intersection with Clover Drive. Driver of vehicle 1 said he was distracted and ran into the back of vehicle 2.

Report of burglary at a residence in the 300 block of West Ridge Road. Unknown suspect broke into the residence and took two wallets and a water bowl.

A 60-year-old man was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail on an outstanding felony warrant for possession of controlled substances.

Report of a vehicle prowl in the 200 block of South United Court. Vehicle was entered sometime overnight and a digital camera stolen.

Report of vehicle prowl in the 700 block of North Paxson Drive. Vehicle was broken into sometime overnight and contents searched, but nothing was stolen.

Report of vehicle prowl in the 200 block of South United Court. Consumer electronics and an undisclosed amount of change were taken.

Report of two-vehicle, non-injury accident at the intersection of South Skyline Drive and East Nelson Road. Driver of vehicle 1 was eastbound on Nelson, turned left onto Skyline Drive in front of driver of vehicle 2.

Report of theft in the 600 block of West Village Avenue. Reporting party left a new lawnmower in his front yard, still in the box, and came back out to find it stolen. Lawn mower was described as a 21-inch Honda, valued at $399.

A woman, no age given, was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).

A 46-year-old man was cited for third-degree theft after he allegedly took items from a business at 1005 North Stratford Rd.

Report of jacket, approximate value $250, stolen from a subject sitting in the park at 800 South Alder St.

Report of a two-vehicle, non-injury accident at Moses Lake High School, 803 East Sharon Ave. Driver of vehicle 1 was backing out of a parking space and hit the rear driver side of vehicle 2.

Report of two-vehicle, non-injury accident on East Third Avenue. Driver of vehicle 1 stopped for stoplight and was rear-ended by driver of vehicle 2.

Report of phone stolen at Chief Moses Middle School, 1111 East Nelson Ave.

A 37-year-old man was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail for forgery and on an outstanding warrant after he attempted to cash a stolen check and attempted to run away from law enforcement officers.

Two-vehicle, minor damage accident at the intersection of West Third Avenue and Broadway Avenue. Driver of vehicle 2 stopped for traffic and was rear-ended by vehicle 1.

Report of theft from a business at 3000 West Marina Dr. Reporting party said tools were stolen from his vehicle sometime between 2:30 p.m. Sunday and 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Report of a two-vehicle, non-injury collision at the intersection of West Gary and North Daniel streets. Driver of vehicle 1 was driving north on Daniel Street, while driver of vehicle 2 was headed west on Gary Street. Vehicle 1 hit vehicle 2 in the intersection, causing vehicle 2 to spin.

A 25-year-old woman was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail for multiple outstanding warrants.

A 20-year-old man was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).

A 38-year-old man was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail for outstanding warrants.

Ephrata Police Department

April 22

Officers were dispatched to Basin Street Southwest for a physical domestic violence incident, but found no such incident.

A male was reported going in and out of the road. When contacted, the subject, who was wearing latex gloves, advised that he was picking up trash as a way to help the community.

Police responded to a report of an ongoing problem with barking dogs, but when they arrived all they could hear was birds chirping.

Abandoned drugs were reported at a gas station.

EPD responded to a report of a disturbance in the 500 block of C Street Northwest. The disturbance was found to be verbal only and the parties were separated.

A man in the 1200 block of Yakima Street Southeast reported an ongoing issue of another male threatening and harassing him. Officers contacted the subject, who advised that he was also threatened by the reporting party.

Syringe needles were found in the vacuum of a car wash in the 1000 block of Basin Street Southwest. The needles were discarded in a safe container.

An unknown male attempted to use two fake $50 bills to pay for merchandise at a business in the 1100 block of Basin Street Southwest. The subject fled.

A male and a female subject were reported harassing people, using drugs and drinking alcohol at the bus station in the 10 block of Alder Street Northwest. Officers contacted the pair and gave them a verbal warning.

Graffiti was reported on a stop sign at Basin and 14th streets Southwest.

April 23

A verbal domestic disturbance was reported in the 1200 block of Cottage Street Southeast. The reporting party advised that the victim had left home to drive to her parents’ house in Moses Lake and the subject followed her down SR 17 in another vehicle. The subject was contacted at the parents’ residence and trespassed.

An unsecured door was reported in the 200 block of Alder Street Northwest. The door was closed and secured.

A juvenile runaway was reported in the 300 block of 15th Street Southwest.

A disturbance was reported in the 1200 block of Yakima Street Southeast.

Suspicious persons, one male and one female, were reported hiding near a storage unit at Third and Alder streets Southwest. The subjects fled when they saw the reporting party.

An unlocked vehicle was prowled in the 200 block of J Street Northeast.

A barking dog was reported in the 200 block of Statter Road. The dog was located and its owner brought it inside.

A woman reported a suspicious person staring at her daughter while dining at a restaurant. She obtained the subject’s photo and license plate number and turned them over to police.

April 25

A possible theft in progress of a wheelbarrow was reported on 7th Avenue Northeast. The subject could not be located.

Vehicles were reported doing brodies in a parking lot in the 300 block of Basin Street Southwest. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

A male and a female subject were observed fighting and throwing trash in a park. The male subject was found to have thrown trash in the bushes behind the restrooms. He was instructed to pick up after himself and both subjects were trespassed from all city parks.

A dog was shot with a BB gun. The shooter could not be located.

A woman reported that her 6-year-old son had taken off running from her in the area of Nat Washington Way. The child was located at a nearby store and returned to his mother.

April 25

Gerald Dodson, 60, of Grand Coulee, was booked on a Grant County Superior Court warrant.

Jeffery Parsons, 49, of Soap Lake, was arrested and booked on a Grant County District Court warrant.

Eric Nash, 37, of Yakima, was arrested and booked on a warrant out of Yakima County and on forgery, second-degree possession of stolen property and obstructing.

Juan Solis, 22, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on violation of a domestic violence protection order and second-degree driving while license suspended.

Kayla Johnson, 25, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on a GCSC warrant and two GCDC warrants.

Conner Boss, 20, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on fourth-degree assault domestic violence.

Jason Schnedler, 34, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on two counts of fourth-degree assault domestic violence.

April 26

Juan Valentin, 38, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked for a GCDC warrant and a Douglas County District Court warrant.
