Ephrata Police Department

April 21

A two-vehicle collision was reported in a parking lot. One vehicle sustained reportable damage.

A visitor’s badge was reported stolen at the Ephrata PUD office.

A two-vehicle collision was reported on Basin Street Northwest. Vehicle 1 was northbound and trying to get into the right turn lane while vehicle 2 was southbound in the center turn lane and turned left into a gas station. Vehicle 1 struck vehicle 2 in the front quarter panel and both vehicles came to rest in the station parking lot. Vehicle 2 was towed at the owner’s request.


Moses Lake Police Department

April 21

Police contacted a woman who was sleeping on top of a baseball dugout at a park in the 900 block of West Lauzier Field. The woman was told she could lay on the grass or inside the dugout, but not on top.

A woman reported her deceased brother’s vehicle was stolen in the 1900 block of West Marina Drive sometime around March 1, 2015.

An unknown juvenile attempted to unlock a bicycle behind a residence in the 1400 block of East Craig Street. The juvenile took off running when the homeowner opened the shades at their residence.

Report of a child in a road in the 900 block of South Garden Drive. Upon police contact a officer observed two children playing in a yard, one of whom only had a diaper on. The father of the children said he works a graveyard shift and had fallen asleep while his children were supposed to be watching a movie. He said he attempted to secure the door to his home, but his children were able to leave the house. The man was advised to seek daycare if he needed to sleep while his children were awake.

Police contacted some juveniles who were swimming from a dock in the 300 block of Crestview Drive. The house is reportedly vacant and for sale. The juveniles and their parents were contacted and told not to return.

A man and woman entered a restaurant in the 1700 block of East Kittleson Road and the man reportedly stole a cellphone valued at $800 while he was filling his soda cup.

A woman and girl were caught stealing cosmetic items from Walmart. The suspects said they stole the items because they didn’t have jobs and wanted the items.

Report of two packages stolen from the front porch of a residence in the 200 block of West Loop Drive.

A man was arrested for third-degree malicious mischief, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct after throwing a brick at a person’s van causing minor damage. The man was contacted about the incident and began to fight with the reporting party’s husband.

A woman was permanently trespassed from all Walmart stores after she was caught trying to steal $9 worth of merchandise from Walmart.


Grant County Sheriff’s Office

April 21

A woman reported that her neighbor was harassing her by phone.

A woman told officers that her boyfriend hit her son in the face.

Grant County Road District No. 3 reported that a subject in an older white Honda hatchback had three times run a stop sign where they were working.

A church reported an abandoned vehicle in its parking lot.

A twin-engine plane was reported on South Frontage Road with its propellers turning.

A license plate was reported stolen off a vehicle.

A woman reported hearing five or six shots fired and seeing a truck speeding away with what looked like a gun sticking out of the window.

A male subject reportedly fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a fence and a tree.

A woman reported that her car was egged.

April 21

Tony Wynne, 39, of Spokane, was arrested on a Grant County District Court warrant.

Nazar Zavalnyuk, 21, of Pasco, was booked on a GCDC warrant.

Kyle Campos, 21, of Salem, Ore., was arrested on a Grant County Superior Court warrant.

Nancy Montejano, 31, of Moses Lake, was booked on a GCDC warrant.

Dennis York, 49, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked for third-degree malicious mischief, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

Hector Diaz, 25, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on a GCSC warrant.

Gregory Ewing, 57, of Soap Lake, was arrested and booked on two GCDC warrants.
