MOSES LAKE — Several small structures were destroyed in a fire in Moses Lake on Sunday.

Grant County Fire District No. 5 responded to the fire, located on a piece of property on Broad Street in Moses Lake, at about 5 p.m. on Sunday. Upon arrival at the scene several small structures, one of which was a single-wide mobile home, were on fire at the piece of property, according to GCFD No. 5 Battalion Chief Rick Wentworth. The district used about 10 pieces of fire equipment to put out the fire, which was under control and extinguished in about 15 minutes, Wentworth said.

The were no reported injuries and the structures at the property were all vacant. Wentworth said the owner of the property advised the district that some of the structures might have been inhabited by transients. He noted none of the destroyed structures were hooked up to electricity.

The Grant County Fire Marshal’s Office will be investigating the fire to determine a cause.
