MOSES LAKE — The Big Bend Job & Career Fair, one of the largest in Eastern Washington, will be held Thursday in the Advanced Technologies Education Center (ATEC) at Big Bend Community College.

It will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

The 23rd annual BBCC Job & Career Fair will have approximately 55 exhibitors representing employers and BBCC professional/technical programs.

“There is no other place in this area where you can touch base with so many employers in one location and in one day,” said Bonnie Jeffery, chair of the Job & Career Fair Steering Committee.

The job and career fair is a good place to see which current employers are expanding and if new employers are coming to the area. Some of the categories of employers attending the fair include manufacturing, food processing, retail, service industries, health care, aerospace, education, and technology.

BBCC programs that provide training for these jobs set up exhibits adjacent to the employers. A list of confirmed employers attending the fair is online at www.bigbend.edu under the Student Life heading.

The job and career fair website has been enhanced to allow users to click on a company logo and go directly to the company’s website to do research.

The Job & Career Fair features four workshops scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. They include: Act like a Job Seeker, Think like a Recruiter; College financial aid workshops for FAFSA/WASFA; Start Next Quarter; and The LinkedIn Effect.
