MOSES LAKE — An F-18 from Whidbey Naval Air Station was required to make an emergency landing at the Grant County International Airport Monday morning.

The plane was on a training exercise when the pilot reported possible problems with the oxygen system, said Rich Mueller, director of facilities and operations for the Port of Moses Lake. The plane landed about 11:30 a.m. and the pilots were checked by local EMS personnel.

Central Washington is a “military training route,” Mueller said.
