April 6

A woman reported receiving a fraudulent phone call from a person claiming to work for the IRS. The woman knew the call was a scam and hung up the phone.

Four juveniles reportedly tried to launch a paddle boat off a private dock on West Lakeside Drive then cursed at the property owner who told them to put the boat back. The juveniles told police they knocked the boat down while crossing the private dock and were replacing it, rather than launching it. An officer advised the juveniles of trespassing laws and to be respectful when speaking to people.

Report of a stolen vehicle from a car dealership in the 1200 block of South Pioneer Way. When completing the report to list the vehicle as stolen the dealership realized it loaned the vehicle to a customer.

Report of a person dressed in black possibly doing drug deals in a parking lot in the 800 block of East Broadway Avenue. The suspect told police he was waiting at the location for his girlfriend who lived outside of town.

A woman and 15-year-old girl were seen via store surveillance at Walmart stealing merchandise. The suspects were trespassed from the business.

Report of a woman cursing at children in the 500 block of South Ash Street for being loud and writing on a sidewalk with chalk. Police contacted the woman who said the landlord of the property does not want a mess on the sidewalk and the children are loud and stare at her. The woman was advised to communicate with the landlord regarding the sidewalk issue and to not communicate with her neighbors.

A man reported smelling an odor of burning methamphetamine in the 1400 block of South Sunset Drive. An officer responded to the area but did not smell the odor.

A man and woman in two separate vehicles were stopped and cited for reckless driving on West Steven Lane after driving through a neighborhood at a high rate of speed while following each other closely. Both suspects had suspended licenses.


Grant County Jail

April 6

Brandon Lobie, 21, of Moses Lake, was booked on two Grant County District Court warrants.

Sarah Tinney, 34, of Moses lake, was arrested and booked on a GCDC warrant.

Cristina Silva, 28, of Warden, was arrested and booked for forgery.

Drew Roach, 21, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked for reckless driving, third-degree driving with a suspended/revoked license, a GCDC warrant and a warrant out of Kittitas County.

Eleven separate fraudulent calls were reported from someone claiming to be with the IRS.

A man reported that his wife’s finger was almost severed by an animal bite.

Items were reported stolen off a semi at a truck stop.

A man reported that his dog dug up bones that were possibly human. Upon investigation the bones were determined not to be human.

A man reported that his ex-wife’s husband drove by the reporting party’s work in violation of a court order.

A woman reported that her soon-to-be ex had taken their grandchild.

A male was reported beating a female in a black Volkswagen Jetta.

A woman reported that her ex walked into her house and was trying to take the TV.

A woman reported that a male changed the locks on her house and was throwing her things out of the residence.

April 7

A drive-by shooting was reported in the Mattawa area.

A woman reported a gold SUV driving up and down the alley past her residence.

A woman reported that a child told her that he was kidnapped and put into a garage somewhere in Quincy.

A man reported he was being threatened with a shovel handle.
