Car Club donates to Big Bend CC automotive students

| April 7, 2016 6:00 AM

MOSES LAKE — Second-year students in the automotive technology program at Big Bend Community College received diagnostic tool kits, thanks to a donation from the Moses Lake Classic Car Club.

The club donated $1,500 to purchase the kits, which the students can keep when they graduate. “They are performance tools the students need, but not all of them can afford,” said BBCC instructor Dick Wynder. They’re a "meaningful" reward for students who’ve finished the first year of the program, he said.

This is the third year the car club members bought the tool kits; previously the club funded an automotive scholarship, said Doug Sly, the college’s public information director.
