Lillian K. King, 90, a Moses Lake resident since 1954, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 at Brookdale at Hearthstone. Viewing will be held from noon to 5 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Kayser’s Chapel of Memories. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Kayser’s Chapel.

Lillian was born on April 7, 1925 in Rushville, Neb., daughter of the late Ray and Rosa Myers. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod, Nebraska). Lillian was raised and schooled in the Rushville area and after graduating in Chadron, Neb., worked in ship yards in Seattle, Wash. during World War II. She married Ross King on Feb. 14, 1946 in Hot Springs, South Dakota. Following their marriage, they farmed in Whitney, Neb. along with working in insurance and real estate in Chadron until 1954 when they moved to Moses Lake. She worked for the Columbia Basin Herald until purchasing King Pin Lanes in 1974 and operating it until 1983.

Lillian enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, gardening and traveling. She was a volunteer worker at the Senior Center and on the Board of Directors starting in 1993. Chair person of Columbia Basin Travel Club starting in 1994 and member of the Women of Moose, Moses Lake Chapter 1256 since 1963. She was also secretary of Keglerettes Bowling League for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ross King, parents, Ray and Rosa Myers, and brother, Robert E. Myers.

She is survived by two nephews, Lewis Myers and Jerry Myers and numerous friends. She will be greatly missed by all.
