NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CHANGE OF GROUNDWATER

Permit G3-28598(B)

TAKE NOTICE:

Lawrence Orchards & Lawrence Vineyards of Royal City, Washington have made an APPLICATION FOR CHANGE/TRANSFER of Water Right to change the place of use under Groundwater Permit G3-28598(B) to the Grant County Water Conservancy Board (Board). The Board has designated such application for active Board review assigning it a number of GRAN-16-01. The Department of Ecology has assigned tracking number CG3-28598(B)@1 to this application.

Be it known that Groundwater Permit G3-28598(B) currently has priority date of March 7, 1989, with a current authorization for 1000 gallons per minute, and 350 acre-feet per year, for seasonal irrigation of 100 acres.

The existing permitted place of use is: 100 acres within: (1) that portion of the NW1/4 of Section 23 lying south of Irrigation Block 80, and (2) that portion of the S1/2 Section 23 lying north of Irrigation Block 80, both within T.17N., R,26E.W.M., Grant County, Washington; lying within parcel numbers 160234000 and 160235000; all lying within WRIA 41.

The proposed place of use under this application is: 177 acres within: (1) that portion of the NW1/4 of Section 23 lying south of Irrigation Block 80, and (2) that portion of the S1/2 Section 23 lying north of Irrigation Block 80, both within T.17N., R.26E.W.M., Grant County, Washington. 50.5 acres within the NE1/4, and that portion of the N1/2SE1/4 lying north of the irrigation district canal in Section 28, Township 17 North, Range 27 East, W.M., all in Grant County, Washington. 70 acres within that portion of the NE1/4 Section 23, T.17N., R.26E., W.M., lying south of Irrigation Block 80, and that portion of the NW1/4 Section 24, T.17N., R.26E., W.M., lying south of Irrigation Block 80 and west of A Rd SW, all in Grant County, Washington; all lying within parcel numbers 160234000, 160235000, 161284000, 161285000, 161287000, 160233000, 160239011 and 160235010; all lying within WRIA 41.

The existing points of withdrawal are as follows: Well #1, located within that portion of the of the NW1/4 of Section 23 lying south of Irrigation Block 80, or that portion of the S1/2 of Section 23 lying north of Irrigation Block 80, Township 17 North, Range 26 East, WM, Grant County, Washington; lying within parcel numbers 160234000 and 160235000. Well #2, located within that portion of the of the NW1/4 of Section 23 lying south of Irrigation Block 80, or that portion of the S1/2 of Section 23 lying north of Irrigation Block 80, Township 17 North, Range 26 East, WM, Grant County, Washington; lying within parcel numbers 160234000 and 160235000; all lying within WRIA 41.

The proposed points of withdrawal are as follows: Well #1, located within that portion of the of the NW1/4 of Section 23 lying south of Irrigation Block 80, or that portion of the S1/2 of Section 23 lying north of Irrigation Block 80, Township 17 North, Range 26 East, WM, Grant County, Washington; lying within parcel numbers 160234000 and 160235000. Well #2, located within that portion of the of the NW1/4 of Section 23 lying south of Irrigation Block 80, or that portion of the S1/2 of Section 23 lying north of Irrigation Block 80, Township 17 North, Range 26 East, WM, Grant County, Washington; lying within parcel numbers 160234000 and 160235000. Well #3, located within NW1/4SW1/4 of Section 21, Township 17 North, Range 27 East, WM, Grant County, Washington; lying within parcel number 161263000, Well #4, located within N1/2SW1/4 of Section 21, Township 17 North, Range 27 East, WM, Grant County, Washington; lying within parcel number 161263000; all lying within WRIA 41.

There will be no change in the instantaneous water withdrawal, annual volume, purpose of use, or period of use.

Any interested party may submit comments, objections, and other information to the Board regarding these applications. The comments and information may be submitted in writing or verbally at any public meeting of the Board held to discuss or decide on the application. Additionally, the Board will consider written comments or information provided within thirty (30) days from the last date of publication of this notice, said written comments or information to be provided to its office located 4975 Road 13.5 SW, Royal City, WA, 99357, Post Office Box 761.

Any protests or objections to the approval of this application may be filed with the Department of Ecology and must include a detailed statement of the basis for objections. Protests must be accompanied by a fifty dollar ($50.00) recording fee and filed with the Cashiering Section, State of Washington, Department of Ecology, PO Box 47611, Olympia WA 98504-7611 within thirty (30) days from April 12, 2016.
