They later moved to Boise, Idaho and made a few other moves and then moved to Moses Lake. In 1959 they moved to Santa Maria, Calif. for the health of two of their children and where Joe worked at Vandenberg Air Base. After Joe retired from the government service, they moved to Spokane where they lived a number of years. While there, two of their adult married children died from cancer. They then moved back to Moses Lake where Joe passed away in 2009. Their remaining son lives in Spokane. Their children were JoAnne, Michael, Wayne, Patricia, and Nancy. She is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Grace was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was active in its various programs.

Grace had a zest for genealogy and contributed countless hours to many Family History Centers.

Grace was an avid quilt maker and received many blue ribbons for her lovely quilts.

Grace always looked for the best in each day. She was always busy with a quilt, a book, or some other project. She was a great example and will be greatly missed.
