Dave Graybill: The Fishin' Magician
Every run of fish up the Columbia has been early this year, and the return of fall salmon to the Hanford Reach is following the pattern.
I am getting reports of very good fishing from this area of the Columbia right now. These up river brights will be in great shape and anglers are eager to get after them.
When I was last fishing down there, a couple of weeks ago, the river was running high and fast, and rumors of low water can be put aside.
There are a variety of techniques that are used effectively to catch fall salmon in the Reach, and if you want to learn all about them, plan on attending the free seminar on fishing for fall salmon on Thursday, September 24 at Town Ford.
The seminar will be presented by Rick Graybill, who was a salmon fishing guide on the Reach for 15 years.
He has prepared a Power Point presentation that shows in great detail the kinds of tackle and techniques that have been proven effective.
He will also talk about the best places to fish these techniques. The seminar, which begins at 6 p.m. will take place at the Town Ford dealership, which is just across from Costco in East Wenatchee.
