Robyn Scott thankful for financial support
To clarify the brain tumor, I have a small tumor on my pituitary gland. I was informed about this three months ago.
The doctor at the time felt that it was not causing any problems, and I will monitor it yearly for growth.
As for an update, I have Thyroid cancer. I have follicular carcinoma, which makes up for 15 percent of all thyroid cancer diagnoses.
I’ve met with my oncologist, and there are some unique elements to my case. So it was decided that more information was needed before moving forward with treatment.
I have additional tests being performed this month, and my doctor from Tri-Cities is working with doctors from Virgin Mason on the findings.
My case will be presented at an oncology symposium for doctors around the country on Oct 28. They collaborate and give a recommendation on what they feel is the best treatment plan for me.
I will evaluate all the findings with my doctor on Nov. 3. I honestly couldn’t ask for anything more than what I’ll be getting.
How amazing that I have the opportunity to have the resource of hundreds of doctors to oversee my case.
Regarding the Go Fund Me account, I would like to thank all of the wonderful people who have helped me and my family. Thank you very much.
