PROJECT: The project consists of first removing 143 existing mooring buoys on the Columbia River near Sunland Estates in order to install 93 new mooring buoys after the others are removed (a net reduction of 50 buoys).

Notice is hereby given that the JARPA SSDP (with Shoreline Variance) received on 08/17/15 from Grant County PUD (Contact: Edrie Risdon) were found to be technically complete on 09/28/15. PROJECT: The project consists of first removing 143 existing mooring buoys on the Columbia River near Sunland Estates in order to install 93 new mooring buoys after the others are removed (a net reduction of 50 buoys). The new buoys will be a three feet or less in diameter Styrofoam ball with plastic coating and a steel rod through the center with key holes at the top and bottoms for anchor attachment and boat moorage. The mooring buoys will be anchored using a helical screw anchor into the river substrate. If the river substrate is too hard for a helical screw, a five gallon bucket filled with cured concrete may be used. ADDITIONAL PERMITS REQUIRED: Hydraulic Project Approval STUDIES REQUIRED: None LOCATION: The project is located off the shoreline of Sunland Estates Parcel #'s 15-0002-000; 15-0005-000 & 15-0009-000. The project is in Section 02, 11 & 12, Township 18 North, Range 22 East, WM, Grant County, WA. SHORELINE ENVIRONMENT: Rural Conservancy. ZONING: Rural Remote. PUBLIC HEARING: None. CONSISTENCY STATEMENT: This proposal is subject to and shall be consistent with Grant County Code, International Building Code, and International Fire Code.
