Marcus Jon Miles, 72, a resident of Moses Lake, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015 in Moses Lake. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015 at Guarding Angels Cemetery, 2595 Road L. NE with Dr. Paul Wagner, officiating. Marcus was born in Yakima, Wash., the son of Harold and Hazel (Morgan) Miles on Sept. 29, 1943. His parents preceded him in death. They lived in Granger while Mark was a young child, then moved to Wapato, where he grew up, graduating from Wapato High School in 1962. He attended Washington State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. He then attended Central Washington University, graduating with a Master’s Degree in School Psychology.

Mark worked for nine years in the Moses Lake School District as an Elementary School Psychologist, he then spent twelve years as the district’s Special Education Director, finally serving for nine years as the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Personnel before retiring in 1998.

He and Marjie have enjoyed retirement years gardening and traveling. New York and Washington D.C. were favorite destinations. Seaside vacations with family created many memories.

Mark spent many fun-filled years with Leo Nomellini Football friends as well as the Wechsler Baseball Group.

He leaves behind his wife, Marjie, sons, Jeff and his wife, Kari-Mae and their sons, Robert and Matthew, and Rich and his wife, Allison, and their son, Colin.
