Customer Appreciation Day draws good crowds

MOSES LAKE — Customer Appreciation Day brought plenty of customers to downtown Moses Lake Saturday.

“We’ve been really busy,” said Sue Torrence, owner of Sue’s Boutique. That was in spite of the competition of a Moses Lake High School football playoff game and a lot of activities around the town and the region.

Customer Appreciation Day is sponsored by the Moses Lake Business Association and featured sales at participating businesses, giveaways and door prizes. The idea, Torrence said, is to let customers know their business is appreciated, and give customers a reason to come downtown.

The joint was jumping at Red Door, both the collectible store and the cafe. “Busy,” said co-owner Jan Thacker, waiting on customers.

Participating businesses included Eden Salon, Silver Sage, Looking Glass Studio, Craft Creations, Art Garden Pottery, Formality, Made in Moses Lake, Kandi’s Yarn Closet, Third & Alder Salon, Mason’s, Second Time Silver and Tykes2Kids.
