Royal High School names October Students of the Month

ROYAL CITY — The Royal High School teaching staff has chosen senior Alex Campos, junior Bianca Castellon, sophomore Noelia Juarez Garza and freshman Gracie Smith as the October students of the month.

The students were elected from a list of candidates prepared by Counselor Jennifer McCoy. McCoy used the personal traits of academics, citizenship, leadership and teamwork to determine the candidates.

Alex is the son of Pablo and Beatriz Campos. His favorite class is world history, and he loves to eat cheeseburgers.

Bianca, daughter of Ana Hernandez and Abel Castellon, likes so many of her classes that she can’t choose just one. Same thing with movies.

But Bianca has a favorite TV show – “Teen Wolf.” Enchiladas are her favorite food, and she likes the song, “Don’t Have One.”

Bianca’s favorite activities are sports, especially soccer and basketball.

“Happiness is a mindset” is her favorite quote. She is inspired by her family, who tell her never to give up and fight for what you believe in.

Bianca’s advice is “Live, laugh, smile.”

Noelia is the daughter of Enrique and Silvia Juarez Garza. Her favorite class at school is Family. She likes the movie “Little Mermaid”, and her favorite food is empanadas.

Noelia’s favorite song is “Night Train” by Jason Aldean, she likes to be involved in sports, and “Hakuna matata” is her favorite quote. Her parents are her inspiration because they make her “want to succeed and make good choices in life.”

Gracie is the daughter of Darin and Angie Smith. Here favorite movie is “Napoleon Dynamite” and her favorite class in school is algebra II. She loves to participate in volleyball, softball and dance team.
