MOSES LAKE - Two 13-year-old boys were arrested in Moses Lake Sunday afternoon after allegedly causing more than $100,000 worth of damage to Hochstatter Electric.

The Moses Lake Police Department received reports of a burglary at a business in the 500 block of Interlake Road at about 2:15 on May 10, according to police records.

The suspects in the burglary, the two boys, reportedly gained access to one of the company's vehicles and used it to ram open a door to enter into the business.

A cash register was reportedly destroyed and an undisclosed amount money was taken. In addition, the boys broke into a number of vehicles on the property and dumped some oil on the ground.

The boys then reportedly left the area. Then they reportedly returned to the scene at about 6:15 p.m.

Responding officers discovered that the boys allegedly again intentionally broke into vehicles and rammed them into the company's property.

It is suspected that five vehicles, a portion of the building and other miscellaneous property was damaged, according to the MLPD.

The total damage in the incident is estimated at between $100,000 and $125,000.

Police found the boys doing "spin outs" in the parking lot.

Police learned the two boys recently moved into a local hotel with their family. They were taken to the Grant County Juvenile Facility.

They were allegedly laughing about the incident and said that because they are kids, they will not be punished, the police report said.

The boys were booked on multiple counts of burglary, theft and malicious mischief, according to the MLPD.
