February 19, 1948 - May 17, 2015

John Michael Clement, 67, died peacefully at home May 17 with his family in Moses Lake, Wash.

Please sign the online guestbook or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake.

Born Feb. 19, 1948 to John and Joan Clement in Amarillo, Texas, John joined the U.S. Navy to see the world in 1969. Following tours on the USS Kitty Hawk and the USS Nathanael Greene, he continued to serve as an active reservist until his military retirement in 1992.

John married his sweetheart, Cherie, in 1973 in Southern California. There they had three children before finding a second home in Moses Lake in 1990. John had a deep appreciation for the wide open spaces of Central Washington, taking long walks with his dogs while enjoying majestic views of the lake and mountains.

John was revered for his incredible work ethic. For him, missing work was never an option, and providing for family a meaningful calling. For John, second to family came football. One of the first things anyone learned about him was his diehard love of the Dallas Cowboys. He found great joy in rooting for "Da Boys" throughout his life.

He will be missed by the family whose photos adorned his desk his entire career: wife Cherie; son Philip; daughter Teresa Koeppel and her husband Chris; daughter Anna Fink and her husband Cody; and nine siblings. He is reunited with his parents and brother, Billy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Assured Hospice of Moses Lake.
