Wahluke golfers take on tough Yakima course

MATTAWA - SCAC golfers learned last week that some courses can be tougher than others. Playing at the Yakima Country Club, all golfers from Highland, LaSalle, Naches and Wahluke shot higher than normal scores.
LaSalle won the boys competition with a team score of 377. Wahluke did not have enough players for a team score.
The medalist, with 87, was Jordan Martin of LaSalle. Wahluke's lone boy, Juan Lopez, shot 122.
LaSalle also won the girls competition with 448. Wahluke did not have a complete team.
The Lightning had the medalist, Bailey Wangler with 95. Zuri Quevedo of Wahluke shot 70 over nine holes.
