D&L Foundry Production Increase/Painting: D&L Foundry submitted an application May 4 and revised it May 13 to increase production of cast iron from 30,000 tons/year to 40,000 ton/year, and to install and operate a process to paint cast iron parts in an existing building at 12970 Wheeler Road, Parcel 1, D&L Foundry Major Plat Industrial Binding Site Plan, parcel #09-1328-150.

D&L Foundry Production Increase/Painting: D&L Foundry submitted an application May 4 and revised it May 13 to increase production of cast iron from 30,000 tons/year to 40,000 ton/year, and to install and operate a process to paint cast iron parts in an existing building at 12970 Wheeler Road, Parcel 1, D&L Foundry Major Plat Industrial Binding Site Plan, parcel #09-1328-150. The increase in production will result in increased toxic air emissions, including cadmium and benzene. New construction will include a 61' exhaust stack to disperse air emissions to below health risk levels. Air Quality permits from the Department of Ecology will be required. The application was determined to be complete and ready for review May 14. The project has been determined to be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan, and the following development regulations are applicable to the project: Moses Lake Municipal Code (MLMC) Title 14: Environmental Regulations, Title 16: Buildings & Construction.

Written comments on this project will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on May 29, 2015. Persons

who want to be informed of future actions, or the final decision, on this proposal should provide their name and address to the project planner. The final decision on this proposal will be made within 120 days of the date of the notice of completeness and may be appealed according to the City appeal provisions specified in MLMC 20.11, Appeals.
