Leland "Duane" Howerton, 71, of Warden, Wash. died in his home Oct. 4, 2014. He was born Nov. 12, 1943 in Tulelake, Calif. to Zelma (Cook) and James Howerton.
On Nov. 17, 1990 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, he married Jean. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, pool and hanging out with friends.
Duane is survived by his wife Jean, children Tracy Howerton and Brian Howerton and four grandchildren.
A gathering to remember Duane will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. in the Corral Restaurant, 120 S. Main St., Warden, Wash.
