Kyle Gilbert and Tony Freeman receive their recognition as Firefighters of the year for Grant County Fire District No. 11.

ROYAL CITY - Grant County Fire Districts 10 and 11 held their annual Awards and Recognition Dinner in March at the Royal City Golf Course.

The banquet highlighted another successful year of providing fire and emergency medical service to the Royal Slope, Chief Brian Evans said.

The evening provided an opportunity for the firefighters from both districts to reflect on the many emergencies the crews have responded to over the past year. It was also an opportunity to thank the families of the responders for their behind the scenes support of the firefighters and EMTs.
