John Arthur Fry

John Fry passed away in his home on March 21, 2015 in Moses Lake, Wash. after a year-long battle with kidney cancer. He was 62.

John was born on May 29, 1952 in Tacoma, Wash. to Arthur and Ruth Fry. After graduating from Lincoln High School in Tacoma he served in the U.S. Army from 1972-1975. He worked as an electrical technician his entire career, most recently at Basic American Foods. He married Linda Miller in 1979 in Denver, Colo., and they would have celebrated their 36th anniversary on April 7.

John enjoyed gardening, camping, woodworking, reading, and brewing beer. He was an active member of the Moses Lake Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder and volunteered with mission work in Haiti. He leaves behind his wife, Linda; his children, Jason of Moses Lake; Susan (and fiancé Matt) of Seattle; Emily (and fiancé Robert) of Bellingham; and Martha of Kirkland; and his sisters, Christine (and John) Berggren of Salem, Ore.;  and Cheryl Hudnall of Fife.

He requested that his body be used for medical research to help discover cures for diseases and develop new treatments. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 28 at 2:00 p.m at Moses Lake Presbyterian Church, 1142 W. Ivy Ave. Memorials may be made to Haiti Bible Mission via Moses Lake Presbyterian Church.
