BEVERLY - The Grant County Sheriff's Office and two deputy U.S. Marshals from Spokane on March 12 captured a fugitive wanted for running over a Beverly woman in 2014.

The fugitive task force searched for and arrested two wanted fugitives the same day. The other was wanted for escaping community custody.

That fugitive was Nathan Lee Mulliner, 24, of Moses Lake. He was found at a home in the 7800 block of Road D.5 NE in rural Moses Lake.

According to Grant County Sheriff Tom Jones, the man wanted for hit-and-run was Raymundo Juarez Garcia, 23, of Othello. He was found in the 300 block of East Elm Street in Othello.

According to Jones, the task force staked out the house for several hours and eventually found Garcia hiding under a blanket next to a clothes dryer in the house.

Juarez Garcia was wanted for DUI, driving while license suspended and hit and run, all in connection with an incident October 20, 2014 near Beverly.

In that incident, the victim said she was walking along the shoulder of Main Street when she was struck from behind by a 2000 Nissan Maxima driven by Juarez Garcia who then fled the scene. The victim was hospitalized and survived.

"Catching Juarez Garcia was especially rewarding, given the seriousness of the crime," Jones said.
