Jerry D. Werttemberger

| March 9, 2015 1:45 PM

March 8, 1937 - February 7, 2015

On a sunny Saturday morning, surrounded by his family, Jerry left this life and returned to the open arms of loved ones, following head injuries sustained from a fall. Jerry had a ferocious love of reading, loved farming and looked forward to the harvest, loved everything cowboy and was a devoted son and husband. He served for many years as a fireman and eventually as Captain of the Port of Moses Lake Fire Department.

Jerry spent his life serving others and wanted no recognition, but his legacy lives on in the lives of his surviving children, Kori (Alex), Scott (Kim), Karol (Dave) and David, all of Utah, his wife Janet, her children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jerry was preceded by his parents, Harold M. and Lydia Arnst Werttemberger of Ritzville, brother Marvin and sister Carol, both died in infancy.

We would like to thank the caregivers and staff of Summer Wood Alzheimer's Special Care Center for their thoughtful and tender care of our dad during his stay. Per his wishes, no services were held. Those wishing to honor his life of service may make a donation to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund at www.curealz.org or charity of their choice.
