Ralph E. Burden

April 25, 1964 - February 26, 2015

Ralph E. Burden, 50, a lifelong resident of Warden, passed away Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at home with his family at his side. A celebration of Ralph's life will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2015 at Kayser's Chapel of Memories, 831 S Pioneer Way. Please sign online guestbook at www.kayserschapel.com.

Ralph was born April 25, 1964 in Moses Lake, son of Marvin and Bonnie Burden. The family moved from Moses Lake to the farm in Warden, Feb 1967. He was raised and educated in Warden. Ralph went to college in Phoenix and Spokane, but was drawn back to the farm, and starting working in the agriculture industry. Ralph worked many years for Wilbur Ellis before farming on the family farm. He was married to Arlie Petty.

Ralph enjoyed hunting and fishing. As a teenager, he often came home from school and got a limit of pheasant before dinner. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed trips to the ocean. Ralph was generous and giving, often helping others when he was struggling himself. He enjoyed camping and relaxing by the fire.

Survivors include his wife, Arlie Burden; one son, BJ Moe; one daughter, Erica (Christopher) Wilson; one granddaughter, Sarah Wilson, all of Warden, two brothers; Otto (Anna) Burden of Littleton, Colo., Scot (Gwyn) Burden of Mead, Wash,, one sister, Janet (Steve) Tyler of Machias, Wash. along with many nieces and nephews. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin (1983) and Bonnie (2001) Burden.
