Grant County Mosquito Control District #1 (GCMCD) is announcing the beginning of the spray application season.

Grant County Mosquito Control District #1 (GCMCD) is announcing the beginning of the spray application season. The district will be utilizing multiple insecticides for 2015. These include Vectobac GS, VectoMax FG, Altosid XRG, Natular G, Natular G30, Fourstar SBG, Fourstar Bti-CRG, CoCo Bear, Anvil 10+10, Duet, and Zenivex. The active ingredients of these insecticides are Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis, Bacillus sphaericus, Methoprene, Spinosad, mineral oil, Sumithrin, Piperonyl Butoxide, Prallethrin, and Etofenprox. Spray applications will begin in March and continue through October 2015, all of which are weather dependent. Treatment locations will be within the mosquito control district boundary which can be found on our website www.gcmcd1.org.
