Jesus (Chuy) Montemayor

Jesus (Chuy) Montemayor, 79, passed away May 28, 2015 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He was born in El Guardado, Mexico, on May 27, 1936 to Fernando Montemayor and Maria del Refugio Garza. He married his wife Amelia Montemayor on June 30, 1956 and was happily married for fifty-nine years.

Jesus and his family spent many years traveling between Mexico and Washington. He took great pride in his job and the work he did throughout his life. Jesus enjoyed working in his garden and tending to his many goats, cows and animals. He loved to spend time with his family, telling jokes and stories, BBQ'ing, and fishing.

Jesus is survived by his wife Amelia, his four children and their spouses, SanJuana and Marcos Alvarez, Juan and Irma Montemayor, Theresa and Ricardo Martinez, and Saul and Oneida Montemayor; he had 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on May 31, 2015 in Nuevo Repueblo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, where he was laid to rest with his father, mother and siblings. He was a beloved father, husband and friend to many. He will be greatly missed, but forever in our hearts. Our lives have changed forever, but we will soon meet again.
