| June 19, 2015 1:45 PM

August 3, 1992 - June 14, 2015

Jaycob Douglas James Weaver, 22, was called to be with Jesus on Sunday, June 14, 2015 as the result of a car accident. Jaycob is survived by his parents: Tina and David Gross, and Jim and Karla Weaver; his grandparents: Doug and Melissa Fox, Bill and Shirley Weaver, Fran and Carol Kuhle, and Hap Gross; and his siblings: Joshua and Rachel Weaver and their son Liam, Allyson Weaver, Ashtyn Weaver, Levi Gross, Grant Hubbell, and Colton Hubbell; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Vickie Gross.

Jaycob will be remembered as a precious son, brother, and friend whose heart of gold was as big as he was. Jay was a loving and caring soul with an infectious laugh and smile who was always ready with a big hug. He was quick to remind those around him of how much they meant to him and treated everyone he cared about like family. Jaycob enjoyed history, particularly learning about his genealogy and family's stories, and was an avid collector of guns, cars, and war memorabilia. He had a love for mechanics and was always working on a project. He could often be found trying to fix up and improve his latest "find" which often meant patching things up with duct tape and guerrilla glue.

Jaycob had a gift for enjoying life and was always optimistic. He was content with who he was and found joy in the simplest of things. He had the ability to make others feel comfortable and loved when in his presence. Jay took his role as a son and brother very seriously. He worked very hard to put family first and made sure that even as the family grew they stayed connected. Jay was a protector of those he loved, and wanted to make sure that others were cared for and safe.

Perhaps the thing that defined Jaycob the most was his generosity and love of giving. Jay had a servant's heart and would do or give anything for anyone. He took great joy in seeing others happy.

Jaycob was a beautiful soul and the world was blessed to have him for the 22 years he was here. He touched so many hearts and those who loved him are better for having known him. He will be painfully missed and always remembered in our hearts.

A celebration of Jaycob's life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Moses Lake Presbyterian Church, 1142 W. Ivy. A potluck reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall. Inurnment will be at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, June 20 at Guarding Angels Cemetery, 2595 Road L, NE, Moses Lake.
