Football golf close to full

ROYAL CITY - If you're looking for a little golfing fun and would like to support the Royal High School football program, this Saturday's 4-man scramble fund-raiser has slots for three more teams.

Royal High football coach Wiley Allred reported last week that 15 of the available 18 slots were filled. He urges football fans who play golf to get involved.

The four-person scramble will be played Saturday, June 13. It will start at 9 a.m. with a shotgun. Besides the team competition, there will be contests of individual skill.

The entry fee is $60 per player, and each team will have include football player, making this a five-person scramble.
