Churches combine efforts for Vacation Bible School

| June 12, 2015 6:00 AM

ROYAL CITY - Three Royal City churches will combine their efforts to conduct a Vacation Bible School starting on Sunday, June 14, with a combined worship service in Lions Park.

Rev. Tim Snyder, pastor at the Church of the Nazarene, noted the VBS will be conducted by all local volunteers this year.

The other two churches involved are New Life Fellowship and the Baptist Church. The pastors are Lance Lewis and Tim Holschier. All three pastors will conduct the Sunday service.

"All three worship teams will be there too," Pastor Snyder said.

The VBS will be held at New Life Fellowship, which is located to the side of the park. It will go from 9 a.m to noon from June 15-18. Children in grades 1-6 are invited, Pastor Snyder said.

The VBS was held at the Church of the Nazarene in the past, and the volunteers were a mission group from Valley View Christian in Kent.

The theme of the VBS this year is "The Journey".

Rev. Snyder said the goal is to have each child end this journey with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

"It's meeting Christ and growing in Christ," he said.

The VBS will include games, Bible study, arts and crafts and worship services.

If you're not signed up and want to be, come to the service on Sunday, June 14.
