August 21, 1925 - May 28, 2015

Virginia was born in Newport, Oregon on August 21, 1925 to Virgil and Martha McKinney. She married William (Bill) Pope in Corvallis, Oregon and had three children: Stephen, Doug and Kris. In 1952 they moved to Moses Lake and homesteaded in Block 40 where Brad joined the family. In 1957 they moved from Block 40 to town. When her children were grown, she started a career that lasted 15 years as a nurse's aid at Crestview Nursing Home. After the death of Bill, she married Troy Wadsack and moved to Yakima where she lived until 2012. She was a very hard worker and enjoyed keeping up her beautiful yard where there were always a couple of cats or dogs. She also liked to knit, crochet, play cards, go to casinos, and travel the world. She was preceded in death by son Stephen, husbands, William (Bill) Pope and Troy Wadsack, and grandson William Pope. She is survived by son Doug, Moses Lake; daughter Kristine (Bob) Chudomelka, Moses Lake; son Brad (Michele) Spokane; stepdaughter Reta (Gary) Graham, Ellensburg; Susan Beall, Moses Lake; grandchildren, Tina (Rick) Smith, Stacey (Juan) Alvarado, Ann (Jesse) Broesma, August (Gabriella) Pope and four great-grandchildren Austine, Marley, Lawrence, and Andrew. We would like to thank all the staff at the Monroe House where she lived the last three years of her life. Her care was above exceptional. Also, thank you to Melissa of Hospice. You are a jewel.
