February 9, 1941 - July 8, 2015

Patricia Ann Daugherty, 74, died July 8, 2015 with her daughters and son-in-law by her side in Spokane, Wash., after a sudden illness.

Pat was born Feb. 9, 1941 in Trenton N.J. Her childhood was spent in Yardley, Penn., San Francisco, Calif., and Everett, Wash. She graduated from Pennsbury High School in Yardley, Penn. in 1958. She married Howard Davis in 1958 in Morrisville, PA. They had two daughters and moved across the country to Everett, Wash. in 1966. Pat lived in the Snohomish County area for the next 40-plus years, with the exception of two years spent living in Dallas, Texas. She moved to Moses Lake, Wash. in 2009 where she resided until her death.

Pat loved to work! She began her professional life at the phone company in New Jersey. After relocating to the west coast Pat began a very long and successful career at Verizon (GTE). She worked there for many years as her children were growing up and retired in the early 1990s. Retirement didn't last long. From there she went to school to become a Realtor with Windermere Real Estate in Bothell, Wash. Next, she then went to work for Panasonic Avionics in Bothell and worked there until she moved to Moses Lake. Upon her arrival in Moses Lake she went to work for the Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce and then to her final position as the Executive Director for the Columbia Basin Allied Arts. It was there that Pat found her true passion for the Arts, especially in introducing the Arts to the children of the Columbia Basin area.

Outside of work Pat loved spending time with her family, friends and volunteering at her church. She also volunteered many times at Christmas House in Everett helping to provide a Christmas to those in need. She could spend hours in a book store browsing. She loved going out to lunch, baking Christmas cookies with her granddaughter and going to plays and concerts. She lived a very active life up until her sudden illness that took her life too soon.

Pat is survived by her daughters Connie Travis (Rob) of Arlington, Wash.; Linda Rasmussen (Michael) of Chandler, Ariz.; grandchildren Robert Travis Jr. and Dylan Travis of Arlington, Wash.; Mia Rasmussen of Chandler, Ariz.; Lindsay Atchison (Todd) of Kent, Wash.; and great grandchildren Ethan and Grayson Atchison of Kent, Wash.; sisters Peggy Calciano (Jim) of Roswell, N.M.; Jeanne Rogers (Gary) of Everett, Wash.; brothers Ryan Daugherty (Jan) of Kirkland, Wash.; and David Tanner (Deanna) of Woodside, Calif. She was preceded in death by her brother Glenn Tanner.

She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and many, many friends and colleagues including her best friend Barbara Conoly of Snohomish, Wash.

A Celebration Of Life has been planned for Sept. 12, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church of Moses Lake, 1142 W. Ivy Avenue at 2:00.
