REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The Port of Royal Slope is seeking a freight rail operator to provide rail services to businesses in Grant County. Interested parties must submit their sealed proposals by 4:30 p.m. local time on Tuesday, August 25, 2015.

The Royal Slope Railroad is approximately 25 miles of track that runs along the north side of the Saddle Mountains from Othello to Royal City. This line has not been operated for about 20 years. It was rehabilitated in 2013 with $750,000 from the Transportation Budget. The title of the rail line is being transferred to the Port of Royal Slope.

The RFP package may be examined and original copies obtained at the Port of Royal Slope office located at 4975 Road 13.5 SW; Royal City, WA 99357 for a non-refundable fee of $20.00 per set. Only properly executed proposals submitted on the forms furnished by the Port of Royal Slope will be accepted. The Port of Royal Slope reserves the right to reject any or all

proposals, to waive any informalities, to accept any bid deemed to be responsive in the best interest of the Port of Royal Slope and reserves the right to re-advertise for new proposals.
