Daniel 'Dan' Stephen Lee

June 30, 1957 - July 6, 2015

Daniel "Dan" Stephen Lee of Quincy, Wash. passed away on the evening of July 6, 2015 at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Wash. due to injuries that resulted from an automobile accident on June 29, 2015.

Dan was born on June 30, 1957 in Seattle, Wash. to Rolland and Hanna June Lee. He was the second of three sons. Dan later moved to the Quincy area where he married Jerry Bepple on July 3, 1984. Dan and Jerry made their home in Quincy and together they raised four children.

Dan was a long time employee of Lamb Weston/ConAgra in Quincy and was just about to celebrate his 33rd year there. From an early age Dan had a passion for welding and fabrication and became much respected for his talent and perfectionism when it came to his welding work. He enjoyed his antique "hit & miss" engines and was well known for his exhibits at various community events. Dan loved to be outdoors and truly cherished fishing with his children and grandchildren as well as the many family camping trips. Dan was a man who would stop for any yard sale to look for neat antiques and he could always find "the good stuff." Anyone close to Dan knew that he could give those American Pickers a run for their money!

Dan always had a smile and a helping hand to lend. On his day off he could usually be found in his shop working on one of his many projects wearing his customary old red hat. Dan rarely stopped working, as evident by his callused grease stained working hands, but if he wasn't tinkering on something in his shop you just might find him enjoying a re-run of "Little House on the Prairie" with a cold one in his hand. Dan will be remembered for his wit and his generosity, as well as his habit of knowing everything about everything antique. He loved showmanship, a well-polished engine, and most of all his family and friends.

Dan is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jerry Lee (Quincy) as well as his four children: Chad Bepple, wife Jenny, and their children Scott, Vicki and Katie (Dayton, Md.); his son Justin Lee, wife Katie, and their children Sabastian, Cy and Gracie (Ephrata); his daughter Stormie Douglas, husband Mike, and their children Colby, Hunter, Braiden and Isabella (Ephrata); and his daughter Brigit Lee and her daughter Madison (Quincy). Dan is also survived by his mother Hanna June Lee (Freeland), his brother Rollie Lee (Anacortes) as well as his brother John Lee and his wife Cathy (Freeland). Dan was preceded in death by his father Rolland Lee.

Friends are invited to join the family in celebrating and remembering Dan's life at a potluck that will be held at 5pm on August 2, 2015 at Dan and Jerry's home.
