Sunset Shores Condominiums submitted an application for a Shoreline Substantial Development Permit and a C-R Zone Conditional Use Permit on June 17, 2015.

Notice of Application and Public Hearing

Sunset Shores Condominiums submitted an application for a Shoreline Substantial Development Permit and a C-R Zone Conditional Use Permit on June 17, 2015. The application was determined to be substantially complete and ready for review on July 6, 2015. The proposed project location is 2900 W. Marina Drive. The proposal is to stabilize the shoreline bank by removing approximately 40 cubic yards of existing concrete rubble and replace it with approximately 120 cubic yards of imported large diameter basalt rock. The area between the basalt rock and the existing retaining wall will be re-vegetated using 200 coyote willow stakes, 12 golden currant and 12 wild rose plants. Existing willows and elms will br protected during construction and retained. A 48' x 8' floating dock will be attached to the existing 25' x 8' community dock to form a "T" shaped dock. The new floating dock will be anchored in place with cured concrete anchors. The project has been determined to be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan and the following development regulations are applicable to the project: City of Moses Lake Municipal Code Title 14 Environmental Regulations, Title 18 Zoning, Title 20 Development Review Process, and City of Moses Lake Shorelines Management Plan

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing for this project at 7:00 pm, August 27, 2015 in the City Council Chambers located at 401 S. Balsam. All interested parties are encouraged to attend and make comment.

Comments on this proposal from public agencies with jurisdiction and comments on the environmental impacts of this proposal will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on August 7, 2015. Comments on other aspects of this proposal from the general public will be accepted up to the date of the public hearing. Public comment may be provided up to the date of the public

hearing. In addition, persons who want to be informed of future actions or the final decision on this proposal should provide their name and address to the project planner listed below. The final decision on this proposal will be made within 120 days of the date of the notice of completeness and may be appealed according to the City appeal provisions specified in Moses Lake Municipal Code 20.11, Appeals.
