NOTICE OF DETERMINATION OF NONSIGNIFICANCE

Notice is hereby given that the Port of Moses Lake issued a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (Chapter 197-11 WAC) for the following project:

To modify the existing State Water Discharge Permit, Number ST0008063 to allow an additional 640 acres of area for land application/discharge of waste water. Initially, the Port will utilize an additional new 120 acres of irrigation circle for the land application of waste water providing for an increase of the monthly average daily flow from a monthly average of 300,000 gallons per day to a monthly average of 400,000 gallons per day, with an average maximum daily 900,000 gpd, and the installation of facilities to allow the land application. The Washington State Department of Ecology will issue modification to the permit. The nearest road to the project location is County Rd Ten (10) NE. The applicable portion of the project is located in Section 19, Township 20, Range 28, Grant County, Washington, Parcel Number 170983000. The project is proposed by the Port of Moses Lake.

After review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the Port of Moses Lake, the SEPA Responsible Official has determined this proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. Pursuant to WAC 197-11-340(2), the lead agency will not act on this proposal for 14 day from the date of determination. Comments on the DNS must be submitted by July 24, 2015 to the Responsible Official.
