Wallace S. Mason

Wallace S. Mason passed away July 3, 2015. Born May 18, 1931 in Montesano, Wash. to Leo Burns Mason and Dorra Lewis. He was raised in Wash. and also spent part of his youth in Sitka, Alaska. He joined the US Navy in 1948 serving on the USB Thompson and the USS Shangri la.

While in port in Boston, Mass. he met Margaret Hayward. They spent the next 59 years together until her death in 2011.

Wally was a proud member of the IBEW earning a 35-year pin for his work as a journeyman electrician.

Wally and Margaret criss-crossed the United States in a fifth wheeler earning him the nickname "Wandering Wally." Upon retiring he settled in Montana, then moved to Moses Lake where he spent his final years.

He is survived by his five children Linda Allen, Moses Lake, Wash., Madell (Nathan Briggs), Sumas Wash., Scott Mason, Grand Canyon, Ariz., Kelley Mason, Phoenix, Ariz., and Jill Mason, along with numerous grand and great grand children.

Special thanks to the jello queen who provided good comfort and support to him during the last days of his life. There will be no services per his request.
