Notice of Application and Public Hearing

Jeremy Kelley submitted an application for a Shoreline Substantial Development Permit on December 16, 2014, with additional information submitted on January 2, 2015. The application was determined to be substantially complete and ready for review on January 8, 2015 The proposed project location is 4211 Peninsula Drive. The proposal is to make repairs to an existing 24' x 16' dock, replace an existing boat lift with a new 10'x 10' boat lift, and install a new PWC. Less than 200 square feet of the dock is over water and the dock extends less than 25' from the ordinary high water mark. A 10'x 12' arbor/privacy screen will be built on the landward side of the dock. The existing wood stairs that go down the hill to the shoreline will be replaced with concrete stairs. The project has been determined to be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan and the following development regulations are applicable to the project: City of Moses Lake Municipal Code Title 14 Environmental Regulations, Title 18 Zoning, Title 20 Development Review Process, and City of Moses Lake Shorelines Management Plan

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing for this project at 7:00 pm, March 12, 2015 in the City Council Chambers. Civic Center, located at 401 S. Balsam. All interested parties are encouraged to attend and make comment.

Comments on this proposal from public agencies with jurisdiction and comments on the environmental impacts of this proposal will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on February 23, 2015. Comments on other aspects of this proposal from the general public will be accepted up to the date of the public hearing. Public comment may be provided up to the date of

the public hearing. In addition, persons who want to be informed of future actions or the final decision on this proposal should provide their name and address to the project planner listed below. The final decision on this proposal will be made within 120 days of the date of the notice of completeness and may be appealed according to the City appeal provisions specified in Moses Lake Municipal Code 20.11, Appeals.
