Under the authority of the Act of Congress approved June 17, 1902 (32 Stat. 388) and acts amendatory thereof or supplementary thereto, and particularly, but not limited to, the Act of August 30, 1935 (49 Stat. 1028), Section 9(e) of the Act of August 4, 1939 (53 Stat. 1196), the Act of March 10, 1943 (57 Stat. 14), the Act of July 2, 1956 (70 Stat. 483) and the Act of October 1, 1962 (76 Stat. 677), the United States Bureau of Reclamation proposes to enter into a long-term renewal contract with the East Columbia Basin Irrigation District (District) that would authorize continued irrigation water service to up to 30,000 acres of irrigable land located within the District that are currently authorized for such service under Master Water Service Contract No. 14-06-100-9165, as supplemented. The current contract, as supplemented, is due to expire on July 2, 2020.

The delivery of Project water beyond July 2, 2020, is dependent upon the execution of the proposed contract, the intent of which is to provide for the terms and conditions of water delivery and the water service charge to be paid annually to the United States for water delivered by the District thereunder.
