Peggy Mendoza, 56, went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, January 11, 2015. She died due to health complications while a patient at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Wash.
Peggy was born August 23, 1958 in Moses Lake, Wash. to Lupe and Nora Alamos. Peggy loved children, though she never had any of her own, she was like a mother to her nieces and nephews, she was often referred to as "Nina" meaning Godmother. She loved them all, she enjoyed spoiling them, she never forgot birthdays and Christmas when it came to her nieces and nephews. Peggy had a loving heart, always saw the goodness in others; she knew no strangers, and was always willing to help others. She will be greatly missed, leaving us with many, many cherished memories. She loved cooking, she was a collector of cookbooks, and she enjoyed reading and collecting frogs.
Peggy was preceded in death by her mother, Nora Alamos and sister Linda Garcia.
She is survived by her father, Lupe Alamos, three sisters and two brothers, Vicki Gamboa (John), Lupita Ruiz, Tom Alamos (Diana), Tammy Alamos and Rolando Alamos (Kim).
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 23, 2015 in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 200 N.
