COLTON, Calif. - Lineage Logistics, a warehousing and logistics company based in California, acquired the Moses Lake-based cold storage company Columbia Colstor.

Lineage Logistics, which is owned and managed by Bay Grove Capitol, a San Francisco area principal investment firm, announced the acquisition on Friday.

Lineage offers cold chain and networking solutions in 111 facilities, in 21 states across America.

The company's warehouse network is the second largest in the world, according to the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses.

Columbia Colstor, which is headquartered in Moses Lake, was founded in 1983 by company president Don McGraw. The company has more than 52 million cubic feet of temperature controlled storage space, which is the eleventh largest in America, according to the IARW.

Colstor currently has facilities in Quincy, Othello, Kennewick, Wenatchee and Woodland.

"By joining Lineage, we can access a national network of facilities and offer additional logistics solutions that will allow our business and customers alike to continue to thrive," said Colstor's president Don McGraw in a statement. "We see great alignment between Lineage's dedication to providing world-class customer service and our own, and I am excited about our future as a part of Lineage."

Lineage says McGraw will still be active and involved in Colstor as an investor and advisor.

"Don and his team have demonstrated exceptional leadership, reliability, and focus on service since Columbia's founding which has resulted in strong, long-standing relationships with its customers," said Lineage Logistics Chief Executive Officer Bill Hendricksen. "We look forward to honoring and growing those relationships for many years to come."

Lineage's acquisition of Colstor adds to its presence in the state of Washington, as the company already has warehouses in Seattle, Algona, Tacoma and Centralia.

"The acquisition of Columbia, combined with the imminent Tacoma, Wash. facility expansion, positions Lineage as the leading cold storage provider in the Pacific Northwest with the best scale, services, and team," Bay Grove Managing Director Kevin Marchetti said.
